Get Involved with the Academy

Members of the AAO-HNS have an array of opportunities to impact the specialty by getting involved with the Academy's initiatives. These opportunities are not only member benefits, but they also provide a valuable service to the specialty and are designed to fit any level of participation based on your availability.

Since 2000, the SRF has given residents and fellows-in-training a voice in determining the course of their profession while still in training.

The Young Physicians Section is composed of young professionals who are under 40 or within eight years of finishing their residency and/or fellowship training.

The WIO Section is dedicated to assisting the career development of women otolaryngologists and those considering careers in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery..

The BOG is made up of local, state, regional, and national otolaryngology-head and neck surgery societies from around the United States and Canada, and serves as an important avenue of communication with the Board of Directors to help improve the programs and policies of the AAO-HNS/F.

Committees provide the opportunity for members to collaborate with medical minds from around the globe on crucial issues impacting the specialty. Build your professional network, stay on the cutting edge of research and issues affecting the body of medicine, and earn honor points for your service.
